
Our Olive Oil
Around 120 olive trees –
honestly, we never expected that.

Today we know: it's one of the most beautiful gifts La Melea had in store for us.
​
Every olive is picked by hand, carefully and with patience. The pressing happens at the local mill, just as the neighbours here have done for generations. The result is an organic oil that tastes of this place – and of the work that goes into it.
When we started, so much was new to us. We read, asked questions, learned. We talked to experienced neighbours who generously shared their knowledge. We came to understand that olive trees need care, attention – and above all: the right pruning of the branches. An art in itself, one we understand a little better with each season.

We love sharing our oil with our guests – at breakfast, during aperitivo, or simply just because. And if you'd like to take a little piece of La Melea home with you, our oil is available to buy directly from us.
